I am at SHOT Show 2018 in Las Vegas this week. Yesterday I spend time at the Media/Industry Day at the Range in Boulder City where I spent time looking at shooting much of the latest and greatest for this year. In the handgun domain, 10mm was a dominating force with products from Kimber, Springfield, Rock Island and Ruger. I spend considerable time with the new Ruger Super Redhawk in 10mm. Making consistent hits on plates at 100 yards, standing, unsupported, with factory iron sights, was relatively easy. Loaded with Hornady 180 grain XTPs, recoil felt like I was shooting mild 38 Specials. More on this gun later, but I can see potential for recoil sensitive shooters who want to get into the handgun hunting game.
Over the next couple of days I will be seeing all the latest and greatest and posting here. Stay tuned. For now, I have to run, my first appointment is in 50 minutes, and I am super excited about it!
